Description

This IO aims to identify the current European scenario on the development of digital and coding skills within the prison and probation context, and its importance for recidivism reduction. A needs’ analysis will also be conducted to assess each partner country’s profile in this domain, conducting a needs’ assessment on employers’ specific labour needs and prison educators’ training needs.

Description
|
The aim of this IO is to develop a comprehensive training curriculum and programme for prison educators. Subjects as IT in prisons, computational thinking, ethics and information security, among others, will be addressed. The limitations that prison educators face when teaching IT in prison are also worth mention.

Description
|
The Coding training course for inmates will be developed based on the State-of-the-Art analysis and the employers’ needs’ assessment questionnaires (O1). By learning to code, and by increasing their IT skills, the inmates will master one of the most important and powerful tools of the 21st century.
