Final Conference on prison IT skills training as a tool for labour reintegration

The Coding-OUT Final Conference, held on 29th of October 2021, in Bilbao (at the BBF Auditorium), marked the completion of the project.
The Consortium intended to present an overview of the experience of training in penitentiary centres in each country and the educational support mechanisms that can be provided to inmates (and other disadvantaged groups) to facilitate their insertion into society and the labour market.

The Conference had the participation of different organisations and stakeholders, as it was aimed at staff working in prisons, educators, psychologists, social workers, reintegration technicians. The total number of participants were 28, 19 national participants and 9 international participants.
The project, coordinated by GAIA, had the participation of Centre d'Iniciatives per a la Reinserció (CIRE); EOLAS (Spain); IPS_Innovative Prison Systems (Portugal); BSAFE LAB  (Portugal); the Baia Mare Penitentiary Centre  (Romania); and the ASP Association of Romania.  

October 2021
Coding-OUT - Final Project Meeting 

​On October 28th, 2021, the project consortium met in Bilbao (Paseo de Uribitarte) for the final project meeting.
All partners discussed important final issues such as the pilots' reports and different ideas and approaches to promote the project's scalability, enhancing the most suitable strategies per country.
GAIA, CIRE, EOLAS, IPS, the Baia Mare Penitentiary Centre, and and the ASP Association of Romania were represented this final project meeting.

Coding-OUT - 2nd Project Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal

On July 3rd and 4th 2019, the second project meeting of Coding-OUT project was held in Lisbon, Portugal. The event was organised and led by the IPS_Innovative Prison Systems. Representatives from all three countries (Spain, Portugal and Romania) participated in the project meeting. During this second meeting a review of the project’s implementation plan was discussed by all partners, including the tasks and goals for the upcoming months. Furthermore, the partners' feedback on the materials under development was collected.
